Rob Adams is a northern Indigenous entrepreneur, construction operator, and business leader with deep roots in the Northwest Territories and a career built around transportation, infrastructure, and northern economic development. Born and raised in Inuvik centerproud Nihtat Gwich’in participant, Rob has spent much of his career working in and around heavy industry, logistics, civil construction, and remote northern operations, developing firsthand experience in the realities of operating in some of Canada’s most challenging environments.
Over the years, Rob has built and managed businesses focused on trucking, transportation, civil construction, site services, and remote logistics support throughout Northern and Western Canada. His experience ranges from hands-on field operations and equipment management to negotiating partnerships, managing contracts, and building long-term relationships with Indigenous organizations, industry leaders, and major contractors.
Rob first became widely involved in large-scale industrial transportation and logistics through Indigenous partnership structures tied to major oil sands and resource projects in Western Canada. Those experiences helped shape his understanding of procurement, Indigenous participation requirements, large-scale project delivery, and the importance of creating meaningful Indigenous ownership in major economic opportunities.
Today, Rob is the President of Northland Group, a 100% Indigenous-owned northern infrastructure and logistics company headquartered in Inuvik, Northwest Territories. Under his leadership, the company has expanded into strategic partnerships across civil construction, environmental remediation, fuel services, transportation, matting solutions, warehousing, and remote site support. His focus has been on building a scalable northern platform capable of supporting major infrastructure and industrial projects while ensuring Indigenous communities and local businesses remain directly involved in long-term economic development.
Known for his entrepreneurial mindset and relationship-driven approach, Rob has earned a reputation for identifying opportunities in emerging northern markets and building practical partnerships that combine operational strength with Indigenous leadership. He is particularly focused on advancing Indigenous participation in northern infrastructure, defence-related projects, and Arctic development initiatives.
Throughout his career, Rob has remained committed to creating employment, subcontracting opportunities, and long-term capacity for northern and Indigenous communities. His work continues to center around strengthening the role of Indigenous businesses in Canada’s evolving northern economy while building companies that can compete at the highest commercial level.
Jamie Koe

Jamie Koe, CPA, is an Indigenous executive leader with extensive experience in governance, finance, strategic planning, and economic development across Indigenous governments and the public sector. As part of the leadership team supporting Northland Group Ltd., Jamie brings deep expertise in organizational management, Indigenous partnerships, infrastructure development, public finance, and strategic negotiations throughout northern and Indigenous communities.
Jamie currently serves as Chief Administrative Officer for the Treaty 8 First Nations of Alberta, where he supports the advancement of Treaty rights, strategic initiatives, governance modernization, housing development, and intergovernmental relations. He has also held senior executive roles with the Gwich’in Tribal Council, serving as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer, leading major organizational, economic, and governance initiatives supporting Gwich’in communities and businesses.
Prior to his Indigenous government leadership roles, Jamie held several senior executive positions with the Government of the Northwest Territories, including Deputy Minister of the Department of Lands, Assistant Deputy Minister and Comptroller General for the Department of Finance, Director of the Management Board Secretariat, and Director of Corporate Affairs. In these roles, he led major legislative, infrastructure financing, and public-private partnership initiatives, including the GNWT’s inaugural bond issuance, modernization of financial legislation, and development of fiscal and investment policies.
Jamie’s experience includes leading large-scale strategic planning, Indigenous economic development initiatives, infrastructure and capital financing, procurement and partnership development, and complex negotiations with governments, industry, and Indigenous organizations. His work has consistently focused on building long-term economic opportunities and sustainable benefits for Indigenous communities across the North.
A Certified Professional Accountant, Jamie holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Laurentian University and a Business Administration Diploma from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
